Oh my gosh - we had those few days you get in winter where there is a taste of spring. Or faux spring?! It has me excited for what’s to come in a new season. I forgot what it was like to see sunshine! All week I’ve had a little pep back in my step due to that alone. I did a giant closet clean out, read an amazing book and made a few of our family favorites. Much like how I meal plan for our family, I have a list on my phone of my easy meal prep ingredients and dishes that I reference every single week. I look at this every Thursday and decide what to prep for the next week when I’m deciding on our menu. I wanted to share the specific things I prep for our family because they work. It’s more than the whole “make a pot of rice, cut veggies, wash and chop lettuce” type of prep. 25 Very Specific Things I Meal Prep for our Family of FiveWe have ebbs and flows when it comes to our schedule with the kids - sports seasons ending and beginning, new activities, etc. And prepping a few things ahead of time is what saves me! I pick a few things from this list each week and it’s how we put meals together. If you have any of my cookbooks, then you know I’m very big on my 10-minute meal prep rule. I want to eliminate as much evening time as possible throughout the week when it comes to cooking meals (it’s nearly impossible to start a full meal after school with our activities) but I also don’t want to spend hours on the weekend prepping either. These are a few things that make a big difference for us as a family of five throughout the week.
