There is no real sensible translation for "jaleung" (or "zhaliang" in Mandarin) - the literal translation would be "fried double", which actually makes zero sense. Might as well just describe it - it is a Cantonese dish (not really dim sum) consisting of fried dough wrapped around rice noodles, sprinkled with sesame seeds, and dipped in hoisin (seafood) sauce and/or sesame paste. That was a mouthful, phew. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find anywhere that serves jaleung in Wuhan. Or maybe in mainland China it has evolved into the ever-so-popular red rice roll, which in my opinion loses its classic feel.
