Weather forecasters have given a name to the winter storm set to arrive this morning: Cora. The storm is set to blast metro Atlanta and much of north Georgia with a mix of snow and ice.

The forecast calls for much of north Georgia to get 2 to 4 inches of snow with isolated higher amounts while metro Atlanta is eyed for up to 2 inches with wind gusts of 20 mph.

The storm is stirring memories of the January 2014 "Snowpocalypse," when just 1 to 3 inches of snow and ice crippled Atlanta with students stuck overnight in schools and commuters left to walk home.

State leaders are confident there will not be a repeat, noting the Georgia Department of Transportation "spent a lot of money ensuring that 2014 does not happen on their watch again."

Georgians on Thursday joined others from across the country in paying their final respects to former President Jimmy Carter, capped by a Navy flyover in a "missing man" formation. See video here.

U.S. Navy Lt. Commander Charity Somma, one of three native Georgian flyover pilots, recalled that as a child, "We were driving by the Carter estate and being told the stories and the history of what that man had accomplished, and being so proud that I, too, was a Georgian."

Carter's body was returned home following a National Funeral Service in Washington, D.C., including remarks by family and former Atlanta mayor and United Nations ambassador Andrew Young.

In Plains, the crowd lining Main Street waited quietly for the motorcade and then, as the procession passed, some shouted "Thank you!" and others waved American flags.

Buying a pre-Civil War home won't cost you even an Abraham Lincoln in Cobb County, where the historic McAfee House is on the market for just $1. The catch? It must be moved by May 15.

"The house is solid as a rock when you walk through it," built in the 1840s of heart pine and used by a Union general and as a Confederate field hospital, according to the property manager. See a photo here.

The house once anchored 200 acres of farmland, now mostly sold off, and the goal of the sale is to find a preservationist willing to relocate and restore the home. Applications are due Jan. 17.

Moving the house won't come cheap, with one estimate putting the cost at $200,000.
