Article Icon 1Forecasters: Dry Winter to Follow Stormy November

AccuWeather reports that high ocean temperatures may cause up to three tropical storms to form in November. Florida and the East Coast are most likely to be impacted.

A system developing in the Caribbean may take two different tracks. Based on very early predictions, both scenarios would unfold between Nov. 7 and 10. The next named storms of the season will be Patty and Rafael.

Unlike recent El NiΓ±o-dominated years, this season's forecast features a weak La NiΓ±a. Warmer and drier conditions in the southern U.S. might mean fewer winter weather disruptions, potentially easing congestion at southern airports. See the forecast map.
