Article Icon 1Over Half of Texas Counties Under Burn Ban

Over half of the state’s 254 counties are under a burn ban, according to the Texas A&M Forest Service.

Central Texas hasn’t seen any measurable rain since early September, and every county between San Antonio and Waco has issued burn bans within the past three months.

Drought conditions in much of Southeast Texas worsened in the past week, prompting several counties to join the list of those with burn bans.

According to the U.S. Drought Monitor, a drought is affecting nearly 83% of Texas, up from 45% in July.

Article Icon 1School District Cracks Down on Unpaid Lunch Debt

Keller ISD is implementing a new policy of providing "alternative school meals" to students whose lunch account balance exceeds $25 after racking up $66,000 in debt on unpaid lunches last year.

The alternative meals include a SunButter and jelly sandwich for breakfast and a turkey and cheese sandwich for lunch. Students are also given fresh fruit and either white or chocolate milk. SunButter is a sunflower seed-based substitute for peanut butter.

While some community members believe the policy could stigmatize students with limited resources, the district is encouraging families who are struggling financially to apply for free or reduced lunches.

The policy goes into effect Oct. 21.

Article Icon 1Smashed Guitar Sold Again on eBay

A Taylor Swift guitar smashed with a hammer in a viral video sold on eBay this week for $6,550, over $2,500 more than it was purchased for during a charity auction in Waxahachie last month. It received 46 bids.

Gary Estes, 67, beat the guitar with a hammer immediately after buying it for $4,000 at the Sept. 28 Ellis County Wild Game Dinner, becoming an internet sensation when a video of the incident went viral.

A spokesperson for the organization said the stunt was intended to be a "lighthearted statement showing disapproval of people in the entertainment industry trying to influence politics.” Swift endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris after her debate with former President Donald Trump last month.

All proceeds from the original sale and the eBay auction will go to Future Farmers of America.

Final Week to Invest in Fast Food’s New MVP

From the glory days of Staubach to recent World Series winners, the state of Texas is all too familiar with champion pedigrees. Well, there’s now a new MVP frontrunner in the $1T fast food industry’s efforts to overcome 150% annual turnover rates and massive labor shortages. We’re talking, of course, about Miso – the world champion in fast food kitchen automation

After logging 150k+ hours in real-world kitchens for brands Texans love like Jack in the Box, Miso just released the newest Flippy Fry Station, their smallest, fastest, smartest restaurant robot yet. And the first production run of this breakthrough tech sold out in just seven days. But this sellout is just the start. White Castle has already announced interest in rolling out Flippy to 100 locations.

It’s all proof that Miso’s ready to bring this All-Pro solution across the nation to 170+ fast food brands in dire need of its services.

Now, Miso’s turning their focus entirely towards growth. That means that their current investment opportunity ends next Friday, October 18, at midnight PST. Hurry and join the charge as an early Miso shareholder while you still can.

What Do Nvidia and Amazon Have in Common?

Well, other than being worth trillions… Both Nvidia and Amazon chose to collaborate with Miso.

Miso’s the leader in AI-powered kitchen robots, logging 150,000+ hours of experience in kitchens for brands like White Castle. That’s why Nvidia offered Miso its premier AI vision tech, and Amazon handpicked Miso to partner and use its RoboMaker simulation environment. These partnerships are coming at a key time for Miso (and their investors). Miso just launched their first commercial AI-powered robot, the next generation of Flippy Fry Station, which sold out in seven days.

Now Miso’s targeting 170 US fast food brands and 100,000+ locations in desperate need of automation. That’s a $4B recurring revenue opportunity.

Join Miso as a shareholder before next Friday’s deadline and tap into the restaurant automation revolution.
