A step into a modern Delhi, this Indian restaurant offers a vibrant venue to enjoy some tasty authentic Delhi Street food in. We celebrated Ben's birthday there by going for the Bottomless Brunch...
We went for a random weekend in Sunderland in the middle of August, and for Ben's Birthday meal, I saw that My Delhi was rated #2 top restaurant in Sunderland on Trip Advisor AND they did Bottomless Brunch, so that was decision made. Indian food and bottomless Cobras, what's not to love???
πΊTHE DEETSπ₯
- 90 minutes, £35pp, bottomless drinks and 2 small plates or a main dish each.
- Drinks include Cobras, Prosecco, Cocktails, Mocktails, Chai & Soft Drinks
- Small Plates included Onion Bhaji, Cauliflower Manchurian, Paneer Tikka and more
- Brunch Plates included Butter Chicken Fondue, Chilli Chicken with Shezwan Fried Rice and more
We chose:
- Poppadoms & Dips (extra £4.80) - these were a great start and a perfect accompaniment to the drinks
- Royal Chicken Biryani; A traditional chicken biryani slow-cooked in a large sealed pot served with biryani gravy and garlic raita - this was a large portion and was beautiful, I think the portion of biryani gravy could have been bigger as there was a lot of rice.
- Butter Chicken Fondue; Cheese naan rolls served with a side of Butter Chicken - this dish was outstanding. Lots of saucy curry, which wasn't spicy but was delicious and I loved the naan rolls and dipping them in!
- We managed 5 drinks each, which was fab. The cocktails I tried were Rangpur Bramble; A divine combination of Tanqueray Rangpur gin, lemon, and blackberry liqueur, creating a perfect balance of sweet and sour flavours with a fruity essence - so lovely I had 2! & Cosmic Monsoon; Glittery Spiced Rum, Indian Plum, Lime & Ginger Ale.
The service here was very friendly, welcoming and they were great with the drinks... I actually left the restaurant pretty drunk haha. I'd totally forgotten when I booked it I mentioned it was a birthday celebration and they brought over a slice of choc fudge cake and a little birthday card. The cake was SCRUMPTIOUS π The only strange thing was for a Saturday afternoon, there weren't many people there at all and I have no idea why, it was a lovely Bottomless Brunch/food was fabulous.
The restaurant itself is modernly decorated well and with memorabilia of the bustling streets of Delhi and is a really nice setting to enjoy a meal in. We would highly recommend you give this Restaurant a visit and you MUST try the Butter Chicken Fondue.
Opening Hours; Monday, Wednesday & Thursday 4pm - 10pm, Friday, Saturday & Sunday 1pm - 10pm
