Happy New Year.....and - surprise! Pretty sure this is the first year I haven't rebelled against "healthy eating" new year resolutions with something dripping with butter and oozing with cheese. π I'm finally showing signs of food-maturity, hurrah!
In all seriousness though, pretty sure the Vietnamese are the masters of deceptively-healthy-eating. Abundant use of herbs and wickedly good sauces seem to be the recurring theme, and both are present in today's Vietnamese Lettuce Wraps. I hope you love it!
On another note, I'll be slowing down new recipe posts for the next month or so, from 3 down to 1 new recipe a week. Taking some much needed time off, and taking care of life things, such as dialling up efforts to move out of the "office". Will keep you in the loop on life happenings. π ~ Nagi & Dozer πΆ
I used prawns, because it seems in the spirit of Aussie summer. But with this sauce, you can literally use anything - shredded poached chicken, leftover roast meat, flakes of plain seared fish or pork!
Also, this makes for an excellent DIY dinner. Just pile everything on a platter and let everyone make their own wraps!
Life of Dozer
New year, new paw pads!! Dozer's been having trouble on the wooden floors lately. Combination of age, dry pads and slippery wood. Trying something the vet recommended - paw pads! Shows promise. Will keep you informed on progress!
