January Baking List ❄️

Hello, January and Hello, 2023!

I'm so looking forward to all that's ahead in this new year! I don't make many (if any) new year's resolutions, but I know one thing for sure - I can't wait to spend more time in the kitchen and begin sharing new recipes again.

It's snowy and chilly and all I want to do is curl up by the fire with a good book. I know we "should" be focusing on lighter, healthier recipes as we begin the year, but I think we could all use a little extra cozy as well as some bright, happy flavors as we kickoff the year. ๐Ÿ’™

Here are 8 recipes that bring me joy every time I make them:

My grandma's banana bread recipe is loaded with bananas, takes 10 minutes to prep, and bakes up super moist. A family favorite!

Thick, chewy, and loaded with all sorts of delicious add-ins, these giant (4-inch) cookies are totally dreamy.

If you only know babka through Seinfeld references or have been intimidated to try making it at home, now is the perfect opportunity to tackle something on your baking bucket list!

This is a quick semi-homemade cookie recipe to keep in your back pocket whenever you're in a time crunch. If you love lemon, you'll love these cookies!

Learn how to make classic bagels with this traditional recipe - I share all of my tips for making authentic bagels, including overnight refrigeration, boiling, and baking. Don't forget the cream cheese!

I love citrus this time of year - lemon and orange desserts are like a pop of sunshine in the kitchen. These from-scratch soft and buttery orange cookies are flavored with orange zest and orange juice and iced with a sweet orange glaze.

Hearty and smoky with just a hint of sweetness, this homemade soup is a welcome meal on a chilly day.

Warm up from the inside out with a batch of this homemade chicken and dumplings. Perfect for Sunday night dinners!

I'd love to know, what is your go-to cozy meal? ๐Ÿ˜
