The Maine Office of Child and Family Services (OCFS) in collaboration with the Maine Children's Trust (MCT) have hosted a year-long webinar series on Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention related topics that started in April 2022 with Child Abuse Prevention Month. Over the past several months, we have shared information related to protective factors, youth mattering, and the connection of child abuse prevention with the prevention of substance use and mental illness. If you haven't had an opportunity to participate in these webinars, you can view the past webinar recordings located here. For our final webinar in the series, on February 7, 2023 at 10 a.m., we want to tie together some important highlights from our past webinars to continue the conversation about the role of protective factors, the continuum of prevention, and the shared responsibility for child and family safety and wellbeing. During this webinar, we will also showcase some of the community prevention efforts that are being implemented in Maine, gather the voice of our participants to help us plan future webinars, and share some of the prevention initiatives OCFS is planning for in collaboration with MCT and other partners in the coming year.
