Expanding Commodity Markets and Incorporating Indigenous Knowledge and Values into Climate Smart Agriculture

USDA is investing $3.1 billion in 141 projects through Partnerships for Climate-Smart Commodities. More than 20 tribes and tribal groups across the Nation are partnering on many of these projects, including one led by the Iowa Tribe of Kansas and Nebraska. Director of the USDA Office of Tribal Relations, Dawn Thompson, talks about this project and how it intertwines indigenous values with climate smart innovations on the USDA blog.
