Day 3 πŸ‘‰ Triple Berry Smoothie πŸ“πŸ«

I can't believe we are already on Day 3 of the smoothie challenge! This triple berry smoothie is a delicious classic smoothie recipe that'll have you feeling fabulous all day! It's packed with fiber, protein, antioxidants, omega 3's, and other nutrients to create a nutritional powerhouse.

This is an excellent beginner smoothie recipe and perfect for kids. Blending greens with berries will make it a darker green or brown color, but don't let that scare you away because it's so delicious.

Berries are lower in sugar, but if you want to reduce the sugar more, swap in avocado for the banana. Add almond or peanut butter for more protein - think peanut butter and jelly smoothie! Or you can blend in your favorite protein or collagen powder. See yesterday's email for my favorites.

Shopping tips

I use a frozen organic triple berry blend I find in large bulk bags at BJ's Wholesale Club, so check out your local warehouse store first. If you can't find a triple berry blend, use a mix of frozen raspberries, strawberries, and blueberries. You can use any berries you have available.

You can find unsweetened coconut milk and almond milk in the dairy section next to Dairy milk.

Smoothie Tips

Smoothies are great for hydration.

Most of the time, the only symptom people think of when they are dehydrated is being thirsty. While this is undoubtedly a symptom of being dehydrated, other symptoms are feeling tired, sluggish, getting headaches, losing focus, and sometimes feeling hungry when you're not.

After a few days of drinking smoothies, I felt like a new person. I had much more energy and clarity, and it felt like the fog had been lifted. I did not feel sluggish, and my headaches went away. It was truly amazing. I couldn't believe the difference I felt by drinking a smoothie each morning.
