Day 1 πŸ‘‰ Blueberry Smoothie 🫐

Happy Day 1 of the OYS Smoothie Challenge, reader!

Out of all the healthy smoothies on my website, this blueberry smoothie is my favorite and the one I make most often.

The combination of frozen blueberries, green apple, banana, and cinnamon is delicious. Cinnamon lowers blood sugar and works as an anti-inflammatory; it also adds a touch of warm spice to the smoothie.

✅ Smoothies significantly increase fruit and vegetable consumption.

I don't know about you, but I've always struggled with consuming enough fruits and veggies. Maybe I'd get a salad from a restaurant, make broccoli to go with dinner or remember to eat a banana or apple for a snack. But truthfully, all of those things were sporadic and honestly rarely happening. It wasn't until I started drinking a smoothie that I regularly fueled my body with fruits and veggies.

Drinking a daily smoothie provides 1-2 cups of leafy greens and at least 2 cups of fruit. That gets you close to 3-4 servings of fruits or vegetables daily before 10 am.
