As we get the new year going, I wanted to reach out with a personal message of thanks, as well as an update on what we're planning for the year to come.
After the public health emergency that swept the world in 2020 and 2021, I remember looking ahead to 2022 with a sense of mild optimism that the world may return to a greater sense of stability. Instead, we were confronted with challenges of even greater magnitude than the previous two years: a devastating war in Europe, political turmoil, and hyperinflation leading to severe drops in living standards. Running our company throughout this rollercoaster was exhausting – but I'm happy to say that we've made it through, and we approach 2023 with some of the strongest fundamentals we've ever had. Our food products were bought by over 3m households in the UK alone in the last six months of 2022; and our app, Feel Better, is now the #1 app in its category in Europe. Reading the stories that so many of you kindly share with us each day about how Deliciously Ella has supported you in your personal health journeys gave me buoyancy when I thought we could sink, and determination when it felt like there was no way out. From the moment I became CEO of DE, it was clear to me that our community was our bedrock, and I'm so grateful for your continued support as we battled these uncertain times. As we look into 2023, I have huge excitement about the expansion plans we have for you: We have several exciting European launches planned across some of the major European grocery chains, including Billa in Austria and Albert Heijn in the Netherlands.
We will be able to deliver our products directly to our community in the US from May - which is something we've wanted to do for years.
We are rolling out our new brand, Plants by Deliciously Ella, in Waitrose. It's a one of a kind partnership where we will launch new products the whole way across their stores: we currently have almost 60 products ready for launch - with many more planned! You will be able to buy the whole range from our website, too.
We have lots of new features coming to our app, including a new 'micro wellness boosts' section with over 100 swipeable ideas to improve your wellbeing there and then. | If you want to unsubscribe from our mailing list, click here Floor 1, 250 Tottenham Court Road, London W1T 7QZ | | |
