Welcome back to the Sally's Baking Recipes monthly newsletter. And hello, fall! ๐ This is my favorite time of year for baking and I have plenty to share this season. Before I send out new October recipes, let's take a look at some of September's highlights.
This pumpkin bread has been a fan favorite since 2014. It's moist, packed with cinnamon spice and tons of pumpkin flavor, and you don't even need a mixer! Have you tried it yet?

"I'm almost 70 years old and have been baking forever. This is the best pumpkin bread I've ever made… so moist and flavorful! I made it exactly as the recipe suggested, using the orange juice and semi-sweet chocolate chips. This easy-to-make recipe will for sure be a regular baked treat for my big family and for holiday giveaways. Thank you, thank you! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐" - Jan
I publish a new challenge recipe every month on the 1st. Participating is completely optional and just something exciting to add to your month! I mentioned this in the Baking Challenge recipes post and want to let everyone know again that we will take a break from Sally's Baking Challenge in 2023 so that I can work on my next cookbook! ๐ ๐
Here's what 2 participants said about this month's recipe:
"We have pizza night every Thursday but today my family decided to try this as a meal and they are so in love! This is officially part of my meal rotation, thank you so so much for pushing me out of the normal humdrum of pizza night! It's so tasty and way too much fun for the kids too!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐" - Amanda
"This recipe was soooo good! The dough came together quickly and easily and was so flavorful. I loved the surprise of cheese and pepperoni stuffed inside. And the herbed butter brushed on top was exactly the perfect finishing touch. It was a big hit with my family and our guests. Definitely will be making again! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐" - Melinda
Here's What You've Been Baking
Sally's baking recipes around the world! My team and I love seeing my recipes in your kitchen. (Many readers share recipe photos on the Facebook page & in the Facebook group.)
Whenever someones asks what to bake with multiple apples, I always direct them to apple crisp. It's full of warm, gooey cinnamon apples and topped with a brown sugar oat topping. I love that it takes half the time and effort of traditional apple pie, and you only need a handful of basic ingredients. ๐
"This is a solid fall cookie recipe I'll probably come back to every year. If you haven't learned how to brown butter yet, do it!! It makes all the difference and makes these cookies SO yummy. You just may want to brown butter in everything afterwards. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ " - Julia
