Hey reader reader,
I'm Richa, the face behind My Food Story. Welcome to this series where I send you an email exclusive tip/recipe every Wednesday! Here's today's Tip/Kitchen Hack: Nothing brings fond childhood memories like a lemonade does. The sweet and sour juicy nectar of a lemon combined with some sugar (and salt!) along with cold water (or even soda or sparkling water to make it fizzy!) is plain awesome! Today, I'm sharing a few simple tips that can elevate your lemonade:
Add Herbs - Add herbs like mint leaves, basil leaves, lemongrass leaves, peppermint leaves to make the drink more flavorful! You can even add edible flower syrups like blue pea or hibiscus to make it more colorful. This even ups the anti-oxidants in your drink making it perfect for a summer day! Add Fruits - The easiest addition to any lemonade are fruits - watermelon, strawberry, orange, peach, raspberry, dragon fruit and so on! Add fruit slices, small chunks or make it into a juice and combine, anything works! Switch up the Ice - Lemonade is usually served with ice cubes. Instead, you can blend the ice along with the other ingredients to make it into a slushie! Take it up a notch and add flavored ice too! Add Texture - Lemonade is a fairly simple beverage to make but imagine it upgraded! Add seeds such as basil seeds or chia seeds. You can even add some sweet lime pulp to make it more flavourful. And that's it - that's how easy it is to up your lemonade game! A little variation every time will leave you craving more and more :) Sharing links for a few of my favourite beverages: |
