New COVID-19 Case Information

Situation Update for COVID-19

To align with the current state of COVID-19 and make sure our disease surveillance is consistent with national efforts, we are shifting to more sustainable COVID-19 surveillance and data reporting efforts.

Starting today, June 30, the Situation Update website will be updated weekly on Thursdays at 11 a.m. with data as of 4 a.m. on the Tuesday prior, unless noted otherwise. This email notification will be sent on Thursdays when data is updated.

The website features a new layout to streamline data and provide more interactive graphs and charts. These changes will make it easier for Minnesotans to see trends while also providing more interactive elements to the data.

  • Cases and variants
  • Hospitalization and capacity
  • Mortality (deaths)
  • Vaccine breakthrough data
  • Setting specific data
  • Situational awareness

All data is preliminary and may change as cases are investigated.

New COVID-19 Vaccine Information

COVID-19 Vaccine Data

Vaccine Data dashboard tracks Minnesota's progress on:

  • Distribution of COVID-19 vaccine throughout the state
  • Doses of COVID-19 vaccine administered
  • Who's getting vaccinated

There is a delay between a vaccine being given and when it is reported to the Minnesota Department of Health. This happens because the state must validate and process the data before reporting.

The Vaccine Data dashboard will continue to be updated weekdays at 11 a.m.
