The summer is flying by — it's hard to believe we're knocking on the door to July 4th! 👏🏻🇺🇸 We're fully stocked up on sparklers, snappers, and foaming sizzling snakes. Bring. It. ON!
What are your 4th of July plans? We just returned from a dreamy week at Lake Michigan. Let me tell you – if you live in the Midwest, or even on the outskirts – don't sleep on the Great Lakes. We first traveled there last summer and were shocked to find soft, white sand beaches, crystal clear water, and small waves even. Waves! Sitting on the porch of our cottage in the evenings, I could have sworn I was looking out at the Pacific Ocean. 😍 (Minus the cost of airfare – holy smokes, have you checked out prices lately?!)
That said, we're staying put for the 4th and are looking forward to spending time with friends, family, and neighbors. This is a magical-feeling week and holiday – one of my very favorites of the year.
