The Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Aging and Disability Services is hosting a virtual listening session to gather input on providing the public with American Rescue Plan (ARP) funds to create innovative pilot projects in alignment with Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) goals. This grant funding will allow grant recipients to implement projects outside the scope of MaineCare services. Grant funds must be used to supplement and not supplant existing state funds expended for MaineCare HCBS. Applicants must provide the Department with a strong sustainability and evaluation plan in alignment with HCBS to demonstrate the goals of the project and how those goals will be measured and evaluated. Each project is expected to last for 18 months. Some examples of projects could include:
