The FDA Office of Minority Health and Health Equity (OMHHE) honors the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Dr. King advocated for the elimination of systemic racism and envisioned a world where all people have equal opportunities, including health equity. The FDA OMHHE was established to both promote and protect the health of diverse populations through research and communication of science that addresses health disparities. Racial and ethnic minorities and tribal groups are disproportionately impacted by health crises in the United States and around the world. Our office is committed to upholding Dr. King's legacy of service and change as we continue to work towards his vision of equality to create a world where health equity is a reality for all.
