Summer is in the air here in Europe as temperatures soar past 30°C (86°F) in some of our Devour cities. And summer weather means it's time for some of our favorite foods. Have you tried them all? | | - Salmorejo: This cold Spanish soup is made with juicy tomatoes and topped with delicious jamón. It is the best way to cool off on a hot summer day! Try it yourself at this Saturday's Summer Tapas Cooking Class -- hosted online by Chef Arantxa!
- Gelato: While we can argue that Rome's famous gelato is a must all year round, there is no better time to enjoy the world's best ice cream than right now. Join us on our Rome food tour for a taste!
- Cherries: Giant, sweet, dark red cherries are in season throughout Spain, France, Italy and Portugal and this means we're into all things cherry flavored. One of our favorite recipes hails from France, it's the simple cherry clafoutis.
- Fresh Sardines: Sardines are a big deal in Portugal and they're at their best during summer. There are even sardine festivals in July and August! You'll have to make a quick trip to Lisbon and join us on tour to try the real deal!
