Happy August! Can we talk about how close back-to-school season already feels? My kids start in just a couple of weeks, and while I’m soaking up these last lazy summer mornings, I’m also so ready for our routine to kick back in. ๐ How are you feeling about back to school?
To ease us all into fall a little early, I've got a cozy new early-release recipe for you, plus what I'm loving and cooking this week.
You get the first peek! ๐
Early Release: Sheet Pan Pumpkin Pancakes
Baked all at once in a baker's half sheet pan (no standing at the stove flipping pancakes!) So easy and convenient, especially if you're serving a crowd
Topped with homemade syrup and a little whipped cream --they honestly taste like dessert
Slow Cooker Chicken Tacos – it's still summer, and I love having dinner basically make itself in the crockpot.
Thai Green Curry Meatballs– made with ground turkey so they're high-protein, and I've got a batch stashed in the freezer to pull out for a busy night.
Mint Brownie Bites (from our Fall Macro E-Book) – a delicious, quick, high-protein snack.
Homemade Iced Tea– making another batch because I've been loving having this in the fridge.
What I'm Loving Lately
This stain remover – I've mentioned it before, but it's continued to be my right-hand in the laundry room, especially with how much my kids manage to spill on their clothes.
These 5 oz glass snack jars - I used these for our homemade chocolate puddingvs. store-bought snack pack comparison on Instagram, and I'm just obsessed with them in general.
How to Win Friends and Influence People – For Teen Girls – this book was part of my daughter's mandatory summer reading before she starts middle school, and it turned out to be such a great, relatable read for that awkward tween-to-teen stage. ❤️
๐ School Lunch Ideas That'll Save Your Mornings
If back-to-school lunches already have you stressed, I've got you.
This is one of the most helpful posts on my site every single year — packed with easy, kid-approved ideas so you're not scrambling every morning.
Print it, stick it on the fridge, and lunch decision fatigue is basically solved.

We just got back from the sweetest retreat with some of my favorite fellow food bloggers — and it was an extra special gathering in my hometown of Park City! I loved showing them Utah Olympic Park, where I actually worked as a kid... and where I later had my wedding reception!
Thanks for being here. Let me know if you make the Sheet Pan Pumpkin Pancakes — I'd love to hear what you think!
