Germany: FAIRS Country Report Annual

Germany is a member of the European Union (EU) and generally follows EU directives and regulations, including those relating to the importation of food products. This report provides an overview of food laws in force in Germany that cover topics not yet harmonized. Food laws currently in force in the EU are summarized in the EU FAIRS report.

 

Haiti: FAIRS Country Report Annual

This report is an overview of general legal and technical requirements imposed by the Government of Haiti for food and agricultural imports. The following sections of this report summarize the major requirements for: Food Laws; Labeling; Packaging and Containers; Food Additive Regulations; Pesticides and Other Contaminants; Other Requirements, Regulations, and Registration measures; Other Specific Standards; Trademarks, Brand Names, and Intellectual Property Rights; Import Procedures; and Trade Facility.

 

Haiti: FAIRS Export Certificate Report Annual

This report describes the major export certificates required by the Government of Haiti for imports of food and agricultural products. The following sections of this report indicate the certificates required for each category of products, including their purpose, the requesting ministry, and their outlines.

 

Philippines: FAIRS Country Report Annual

This report outlines the Philippine Government's policies regulating the importation of food and agricultural products. It provides U.S. exporters with an overview of the requirements and procedures they need to comply with, in coordination with licensed Philippine importers, to access the Philippine market. The report includes information on labeling, packaging, permitted ingredients, and other relevant considerations. Additionally, it provides points of contact for key Philippine government authorities.

 

Philippines: FAIRS Export Certificate Report Annual

This report details the Philippine government's certification requirements for food and agricultural products exported from the United States. Notably, the list of U.S. government-issued export certificates remains unchanged from last year.

 

Senegal: New Market Access for US Poultry and Livestock Products in West Africa

The United States Department of Agriculture, led by the Animal Plant Health Inspection Service, finalized new export health certificates for several animal products in three West African countries. Senegal now accepts U.S. day-old chicks and hatching eggs. The Gambia also accepts U.S. day-old chicks and hatching eggs. Guinea (Conakry) accepts live small ruminants, small ruminant semen, and small ruminant embryos from the United States. This report contains links to the relevant health certificates.

 

Venezuela: FAIRS Country Report Annual

This report is an annual update of Venezuela's agricultural product import standards and enforcement mechanisms for U.S. exporters of agricultural commodities, foods, and beverages. Political uncertainty continues for Venezuela, yet the country remains a distinctly promising market for U.S. agricultural exports. In 2024, U.S. agricultural product exports to Venezuela totaled $800 million, and the United States was the largest supplier of agricultural and food products by volume with 39 percent market share. Current U.S. sanctions exempt transactions related to the export of agricultural and food products and do not prevent export certificate issuance by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

 

Venezuela: FAIRS Export Certificate Report Annual

This report identifies the export certification requirements for agricultural and food products. The Venezuelan ministries routinely issue import permits, import licenses, and register processed food products. This annual report reflects minor changes from the 2024 edition.
