(a sneak of one of the salads in Easy Everyday) EATINGI love making these smoked salmon tartines with green goddess goat cheese this time of year. My asparagus frittata souffle is also fabulous. So is this carrot puff pastry tart. DRINKINGI’m about to infuse some tequila with strawberries today, but in the meantime, these cucumber mint margaritas are incredibly refreshing. MAKINGThis giant lavender berry pop tart for spring weekends. It’s amazing for easter brunch but also just wonderful for a weekend treat. And the flavors are so customizable. I’m partial to this one because of the stunning color! BAKINGMy pistachio carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. This is just so incredible. So is my greek yogurt carrot cake sheet cake! SNACKINGOne snack I’ve had on repeat for months are peanut butter stuffed dates in my fridge. I remove the pit, stuff the center with peanut butter and sometimes drizzle with or dip in chocolate. Then sprinkle with flaky salt. They are so satisfying! I also love sourdough crackers. And making a batch of my salted maple granola. GRILLINGIt’s time! I love when these warmer months hit and I can fire up the grill without freezing. At the top of my list are my gorgonzola grilled potatoes, grilled chicken orzo with avocado, grilled garlic baguettes with greek salad and cedar plank salmon. CRAVINGStrawberry crunch salad with champagne vinaigrette. This is one of those staples that I make on repeat as soon as the strawberries are GOOD. The texture is fabulous and everyone in our house loves this recipe. LISTENINGI made this playlist in 2021 right before I had Jordan and it remains one of my most-listened to playlists! It’s such a lovely relaxing one with a few upbeat songs and it is perfect for those first few spring nights when you stay outside a little later than usual. Maybe dine al fresco! READINGI am so excited because Abby Jimenez’s new book releases today! This is my favorite time of year - from now until the end of summer, there are SO many of my favorite author’s books to look forward to. I’ve already started my 2025 summer reading list, but if you need some inspo, here is last year’s list! SHARINGMy kids are in love with these squishy paintable eggs as well as the eggmazing egg decorator. Those, along with the easter mondo llama painting boxes have been a huge hit for spring. WEARINGMy cousin wore these jeans the other night and I instantly ordered them! They are stretchy and soft with the perfect amount of wide leg. I love! I’m also into all things raffia in anticipation for the warmer months. My raffia bag obsession is out of control (this and this are both one of my faves) and I adore these gold raffia slides and these black and white ones! I also got this light blue eyelet dress which is SO pretty. SHOPPINGI restocked a few of my everyday items during the big amazon spring sale last week. These clean day face towels are so easy to use (I have the bamboo box for my bathroom counter). I use this body scrub in the shower along with this body wash. If you have sensitive dry skin, both are amazing. I also bought some sunscreen and this is my fave along with my kids fave. I don’t always use a spray, but if I do, it’s often that. Also got these UV buddy stickers to try! RECOMMENDINGListening to podcasts is the only way I get through big cooking and recipe testing days! In the last year I’ve gone deep into true crime podcasts, like Love Marry Kill, Til Death Do Us Part, Morbid and Crime Junkie then a few randoms in there. I also still like some of the longer personal interview ones too like Armchair Expert and Call Her Daddy. I LOVE Monica Lewinsky’s new podcast, Reclaiming and Not Gonna Lie too. LOVINGThe essentials calendar that I bought again this year to have all of our plans from now through the end of summer in one big spot! I bought the spring and the summer so I can see everything at one glance. This is the third (or fourth?!) year in a row that I’ve bought these and they are wonderful. It makes scheduling kids’ summer camps SO easy, looking at vacation weeks, work plans and more. Having it on one big calendar makes it so much easier to see - and even though I am a diehard planner person, I need to see everyone on one big sheet here so I don’t over-schedule anything. It removes some of that decision fatigue because it’s all right there. CELEBRATINGThe month of April in general, because it’s the release of Easy Everyday! I’m sure you’re getting sick of hearing about it but putting a book together is such a daunting task and takes SO long, that it really is like having another child. If you haven’t preordered yet, it would mean so much to me. Preorders are really the best indicator for the book's success! And if you preorder, you get the bonus recipes too!
