Just yesterday, I let you in on my current deficit progress. And I shared briefly about my coaching program. I had several questions come in about 1:1 coaching, and most people want to know what it looks like!
Here's how it works and what you get:
We start with you completing an extensive questionnaire. I review it and create a "protocol" that includes your macros as well as sleep, water, movement, cardio, nutrition, structuring your meals, schedules (if applicable), mindset, food choices, lifting program (if desired), expectations, and non-scale victories.
I take into consideration YOUR unique circumstance (i.e. hypothyroidism, Hashimoto's, PCOS, high blood pressure, borderline A1C numbers, menopause, etc.) and customize everything to YOU.
The "protocol" is the goal on paper. We work together to set initial goals, break them down into bite-size pieces, refine day-to-day habits, and then create systems so that you're always making progress towards the goal.
We track progress and collect data with your own customized progress tracker. You fill it in with things like protein, fat, and carbs for the day, your fiber, sleep, day of your cycle (if applicable), water, the workouts you did, how many steps you took, etc.
Each week I review the data including your biofeedback, food logs, and questions you left for me. I then give detailed feedback on what's looking good, where we can improve, and practical suggestions to make that happen. We review the current goals and ensure that the steps being taken align with those. This is also where we address any mindset issues, mental roadblocks that are standing in the way, or beliefs that are holding you back.
Your job is to live out the protocol as best as you can. If you need me for anything, you can text at any time through WhatsApp.
As a client, we can talk about WHATEVER you need to - mindset around food, how to get the teenager to stop eating your meal prep, conversations with our teens about what we're doing (getting strong to take care of ourselves, not chasing a number on the scale), navigating vacations or date night, or weekends away, how to make meals more filling, why you aren't pooping (or pooping too much), how to get more protein, how to eat less fat, how to make a plate that gives you energy AND that you enjoy with Grandma Doris is watching your every move and might be offended if you don't take her sausage balls…Nothing is off-limits, lol.
Every client starts at maintenance for at least 2 weeks so I can verify accuracy and consistency in tracking before we start a deficit or a surplus. Nutrition is THE DRIVER of fat loss, so if that's not dialed in, we'll just end up spinning our wheels.
No two clients follow the same protocol. Yes, we all work on similar foundational habits, but everyone is living a different life with different obstacles to overcome so HOW you work on the habits and nutrition will be different.
