Nutrition Deficit Feb 2025 Update

Hi Reader,

It's been two weeks since I started my 2025 deficit and realized I never shared the details - oops!

I'm quite surprised at how easy this deficit has been so far. I have yet to experience true hunger, my plates are FULL, I have something fun almost every day, and I'm still hitting PRs in the gym...

I attribute this to NOT dieting and focusing on being well-fed for 8 months!

I plan on being in this deficit for 10 weeks, possibly 12. I'm also paying attention to my biofeedback and will adjust if necessary.

Wins:

  • I haven't felt much fatigue because of the deficit, although it's still early
  • Strength is still up - have PR'd in almost every strength move since the deficit started
  • Realizing to manage hunger, I need 4 meals/day instead of the usual 3
  • Consistently meal prepping each weekend
  • Staying on track even when I was sick
  • Knowing I'd rather spend calories on ranch dressing than balsamic vinegar

Challenges:

  • Being sick for 3 days, and lingering sinus pressure/coughing
  • Meals are feeling boring (even though they're not boring in maintenance, LOL)

Moving Forward:

  • Same macros, although have the flexibility to increase carbs to 200g on upper body days if desired

I hesitate to share my macro numbers below because macro goals vary so greatly from person to person! (But I KNOW you're curious!! LOL)

Have you looked into your macro numbers?

You can find macro calculators all over the internet, but do they take into account your lifestyle? Dietary preferences/needs? Your fitness level? Your hobbies and activities?

When I give my clients a custom macro count, I evaluate their activity levels, habits, and fitness goals. As a coach, I use their tracked data and give feedback and we adjust accordingly so goals are met.

I have two spots open for 1:1 coaching to start this month. That gives us enough time to nail habits, conquer a deficit, and feel confident in our swimsuits and shorts for summer. Are you ready to jump in and get started?
