Hero Dog Performs ‘Puppy CPR’ to Save Veteran

A Canadian military veteran credits his dog, Bear, with saving his life during a massive 'widowmaker' heart attack—a severe and often fatal event—that struck him in the middle of the night.

Darren Cropper, 57, collapsed in his basement, only to be revived by Bear, a one-year-old Siberian Husky-Golden Retriever mix, who jumped on his chest with such force that paw prints were left on his torso.

Paramedics later said Bear’s instinctive "Puppy CPR," which may have lasted hours, kept Cropper alive.

Now recovered, Cropper called Bear's actions a testament to his service-dog lineage and life-saving instincts.

Couple Forms Unique Friendship With Otter

While living on a remote Scottish island, a man named Billy Mail formed an unlikely bond with an orphaned otter he named Molly, who first appeared near his home while scavenging for food.

Over three years, he and his wife Susan provided Molly with fish during winter months, allowing her to maintain her wild nature while becoming familiar in their lives.

Molly, now a regular visitor, is attached to the couple, even “checking in” on them when they’re outside.
