She was just 5 when her stepfather used her for pornography. The first time she ran away, she was 7, and then multiple times after that. But cops kept picking her up and returning her “home” … to her abuser.

Yvonne’s nightmare continued for many years. Trafficked by her own father. Abused in the foster care system. And further victimized by the so-called “justice” system.

At 16, she was picked up by an elderly man, and in the struggle to get away, Yvonne stabbed him with a knife. She was arrested and charged with manslaughter. She went to adult prison for five years.

But the amazing Shared Hope team gave Yvonne’s life new purpose and meaning.

With the help of caring people like you, Shared Hope works to prevent child sex trafficking, restore the lives of those who have survived, and bring about justice for both the victims and the adults who exploit and abuse children.

So we’re asking you to join us in partnering with Shared Hope to offer healing and hope to children in desperate need. You can stop sex trafficking and restore the lives of survivors as you take action today!

Yvonne’s story is both tragic and full of hope. It’s also painfully commonplace. Children are being enslaved and sold every day — and all too often, the “system” treats them like criminals.

This is why Shared Hope exists: to rescue children from predators, prevent more tragedies, restore the lives of sex trafficking survivors, and hold criminals to account.

We’ve made huge advances. Saved countless lives. Strengthened laws. Trained law enforcement and judicial system personnel. But there are still more children at risk, both here in the U.S. and abroad. Tomorrow, another child will be brutally targeted.  With your gift today, Shared Hope can save that life! To provide care and healing for a child trafficking victim takes only about $3 a day.
