January Baking List ❄️

Happy January, happy 2024, happy all the things! πŸ’™

I'm excited to share a few recipes to make throughout this first month of the year. As we settle into new routines, I hope you'll try one (or all!) of these recipes and perhaps find a new family-favorite recipe to enjoy all year long!

January Baking List:

Chicken Noodle Soup

January is National Soup Month! Make a pot of this classic homemade chicken noodle soup recipe - it's the ultimate comfort food. (Save time and use a store-bought rotisserie chicken.)

Peanut Butter-Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

It's also National Baking Month (and National Oatmeal Month) and these peanut butter oatmeal chocolate chip cookies are one of the oldest, most popular cookies on BEB. They combine three of everyone's favorite cookies: chocolate chip cookies, peanut butter cookies, and oatmeal cookies!

Homemade Bagels

Make a batch of homemade bagels for National Bagel Day on January 15th! This traditional bagel recipe includes all of the tips for making homemade bagels that taste authentic, including refrigerating overnight, boiling, and baking.

Perfect Popcorn

Get your popcorn fix with this easy-to-follow, homemade popcorn recipe. I'll teach you how to make movie theater popcorn at home with two "secret" ingredients and it'll be ready in less than 10 minutes (great for National Popcorn Day on the 19th)!

Ultimate Rice Krispie Treats

This month we also celebrate Joseph's birthday, and when I ask what type of special treat he would like on his actual birthday (i.e. not the cake we have when we celebrate with everyone), he ALWAYS picks these rice krispie treats, they are his all-time favorite!

Coconut Cream Pie

Celebrate National Pie Day (January 23rd) with this from-scratch coconut cream pie. From a graham cracker and toasted coconut crust to a creamy coconut custard pie filling and a rum-spiked whipped cream topping, this pie is classic, timeless, and sensational.

Peanut Butter Brownies

If you love the chocolate and peanut butter combo, you will go bananas for these peanut butter brownies, which are a welcome treat any time of year (especially on January 24th - National Peanut Butter Day!).

Best Ever Chocolate Cake

This layer cake is perfect for National Chocolate Cake Day on January 27th! It really is the best ever.

Cut-Out Sugar Cookies

This is my go-to recipe for cut-out sugar cookies! I use it for all holidays and special occasions throughout the year. No softening butter or dough chilling required - and they bake up super soft with no spreading and keep their shape each and every time!

What's on your baking list this month?
