| Hello reader I've done it again. You now have a newsletter rather later in the day than I'd intended. I'm still getting used to a Sunday posting and I completely forgot. We cycled up to the allotment first thing this morning to do a bit of work and harvest whatever we could find. This turned out to be French beans, courgettes, of course, tomatoes and raspberries. The first of the autumn raspberries are always such a pleasure. You can probably tell that writing a newsletter was far from my thoughts. I've spent most of the rest of the day gardening and tidying up the garage. This latter has been an ongoing process since we had our solar panels fitted. We had to make room for various associated pieces of kit, which wasn't easy as our garage was jam packed. Well, it's a lot less packed now. It's only now that I've sat down to my computer that I've suddenly remembered. So without further ado, this month's recipe is all about plum jam. Plum jam is one of those super easy jams to make, which means it's one of my favourites. Plums are high in pectin, so it sets quite easily without needing to add anything other than sugar and water. Although you can add a few extras if you so wish. I've given a few ideas in the recipe. Over the years I've made it with purple plums, golden plums and Victoria plums. You can use whichever plums you can get hold of for this recipe. They will all work. Have you made jam before? Is it something you'd like to try? Do you have a surplus of plums? Do let me know. Whatever your level, I hope you find this post helpful. Popular posts this week include: Please do let me know if you make any of my recipes and don't forget to star rate them. It really helps to make them more visible on search engines. I especially appreciate questions or feedback via comments on the blog posts.
Keep cooking and stay safe. Choclette x
