| REMINDER: Online Billing Process for MQSA Inspection Fees The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is reminding mammography facilities of the current billing invoice process. As of April 22, 2021, the FDA's User Fee Program for the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) sends your inspection fee invoices by email after your annual inspection. - Online payments: Inspection fees can be paid online; however, only full payments will be accepted.
- Preferred payment methods: The FDA's preferred payment method is online using an electronic check or Automated Clearing House (ACH). Credit Card payments (Discover, VISA, MasterCard, or American Express) are accepted for amounts less than $25,000.
- Email address confirmation: MQSA inspectors will collect and confirm each facility's billing contact email address during your annual inspection to ensure your invoice is sent to the correct address.
- Notice to facilities: If you do not receive an invoice for the inspection fee within 30 days of the inspection date, contact MQSAUserFeeSupport@fda.hhs.gov. Failure to pay the inspection fee invoice in a timely manner could result in additional charges for the facility, including late fees and accrued interest.
For more details about making online payments, alternative methods of payment, governmental entity status, and nonpayment of the inspection fee, refer to your MQSA Facility Invoice. Questions? If you have questions about facility invoice payments, email MQSAUserFeeSupport@fda.hhs.gov. |
