The Very Best Chocolate Cookies
Hi reader,
Okay, it is time to be very serious here. We are in the Holiday Series, so of course there are cookies, but we do not want you to think these are just any cookies and be like,"Oh yeah, fine, okay. A cookie recipe." and move on.
Because these are VERY SPECIAL and have taken up long-term residency in our hearts and we are not charging any rent because they are basically like family. You get it, right?
These are thick, soft-centered, crispy-edged, dark, rich, melt-in-your-mouth chocolate cookies that are laced with espresso powder and dusted with a snowy sprinkle of cardamom sugar on top (optional, but such a wintry treat).
They're beautiful, festive, deeply delicious, and you're probably going to need to make a secret batch for yourself first so you don't cry real life tears when you are forced to share with others.
