STATS FOR STORIES (SFS)

Tomorrow is the 20th anniversary of 9/11 and Patriot Day and National Day of Service and Remembrance. Sunday is Grandparents Day. Monday begins Staffing Employee Week. Wednesday begins Hispanic Heritage Month. Thursday is Mexico's Independence Day and Stepfamily Day.

Patriot Day and National Day of Service and Remembrance: September 11

The 2019 American Community Survey estimated there were 190,799 emergency medical technicians and paramedics, up from 136,900 in 2010.

National Grandparents Day: September 12

In 2019, there were an estimated 7.0M grandparents living with a grandchild under 18, 2.3 million of whom were responsible for most of their basic care.

National Hispanic Heritage Month: Sept. 15-Oct. 15

The 2019 American Community Survey estimated the U.S. population at 328,239,523 which includes 60,481,746 (about 18.4%) who identified as Hispanic or Latino.

The Census Bureau's International Data Base estimated Mexico's 2021 population at 130.2M and the U.S. at 332.5M, the world's 10th and 3rd most populous countries.
