| Hello friends, and welcome to my "What I've been loving" series! The truth is, I started The Almond Eater over 10 years ago, and since then, blogging has changed a lot. I miss writing, and I miss sharing my life with you all. I'm planning to share these emails once a month, so you'll get a glimpse into my life and a few items I've purchased and enjoyed. If you don't care about my life (no offense taken), just don't open the email. You'll still get plenty of tasty food recipes sent to you! LIFE THIS MONTH - The month started with a trip to Columbus to visit my brother and brother-in-law. They recently moved there from Cleveland, and we were excited to check out their new place. We also happen to love Columbus, so getting to explore a bit was fun.
- March weather is weird, at least in Pittsburgh, because some days are 20 degrees and some are 70 degrees. So, we've had plenty of park days, and I'm just so ready for the warmer weather to stick around.
- Miguel's family came to visit, and it's always so nice to see them. It was quite chilly, but we went out to dinner and got ice cream the one night (never too cold for ice cream), and then stayed in and watched a movie the other night.
- Emmy started Soccer Shots and it's the cutest thing ever. If you don't know, Miguel is a huge soccer fan (and played in college), so this is something he's been looking forward to.
- You know when you look at your closet and hate all of your clothes? Honestly this happens about once a year for me, so I spent the past weekend doing a bit of shopping and I now feel ready for spring/summer!
- This probably belongs in the section below, but I don't have a link for it so I'm including it here. If you happen to stumble upon the Elmhurst pistachio oat milk creamer, BUY IT!! A little bit goes a long way so I suggest using only a tablespoon, but on my gosh it really elevates the morning coffee experience.
THINGS I LOVED THIS MONTH As I mentioned above, I recently did a bit of shopping, so I'm including a few more links than usual this month :) - Re-lyte electrolytes: I've said it before and I'll say it again: I love these electrolytes! I drink them daily, and I love all of the flavor options (the watermelon lime and piΓ±a colada are probably my favorite).
- White shorts: Ok the description says these are tan, but I bought them and I'd personally call them off-white. They're suede, and the material and fit is SO comfortable. I'm excited to wear these all summer long.
- Wide-leg jeans: Truthfully, this is more than I typically like to spend on jeans, but these jeans are so good. The material is soft and stretchy (not stiff at all), they're high-waisted and the right amount of flare IMO. Since they're high-waisted, I suggested sizing down. Also! I'm short (5'3"), so the ankle jeans fit me like regular jeans, but if you're taller, you may want to get the regular wide leg jeans, not the ankle ones.
- Elemis resurfacing facial pads: I JUST bought these so I haven't used them yet, but I've heard so many people talk about them I figured I wanted to see what all the hype is about.
- Gelly slides: I WILL be wearing these all summer long. First of all, I feel very *hip* and cool when I wear them, and second of all they're incredibly comfortable and pair well with both jeans and shorts.
- Woven sandals: These feel both classic and fun.
- Classic red striped shirt: What can I say? I love a striped shirt and I already plan on wearing this with me white shorts (see above). Plus, this one's on sale and the fabric is so soft!
- Medicube peptide serum: I feel like everyone has been talking about this serum, so I had to see what all the hype is about. For less than $15 I figured there's no harm and checking it out.
That's it! Thanks for the support and happy April! -Erin |
