President Trump endorsed U.S. Sen. Jon Husted in Ohio’s 2026 U.S. Senate race, praising his leadership and saying Husted “will not let you down.”

Husted said he is honored by Trump’s support and pledged to work with the president on border security, economic prosperity, and “common-sense Ohio values.”

It is Trump’s second high-profile Ohio endorsement this year, following his announced support of Vivek Ramaswamy for governor.

Husted was appointed in January to replace JD Vance, who left the Senate to become vice president. Husted, who previously served as the state's lieutenant governor for seven years, seeks the Senate seat for a full six-year term.

Air Force Col. Christopher Meeker, former commander of Wright-Patterson’s 88th Air Base Wing, faces a general court-martial next week at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.

Meeker is charged with adultery, fraternization, and disobeying a superior officer. He was relieved of command in December 2023 due to a “loss of confidence in his ability to lead.”

Adultery charges are rare in the military unless there is a “significant impact on good order and discipline," according to military law experts.

Moeller High senior Zion Theophilus tied a school record with 17 strikeouts in a no-hitter Wednesday, leading the Crusaders to a 5-0 win over rival Elder. The single-game strikeout record was set in 1972.

Theophilus, the state's reigning Gatorade Player of the Year, struck out the first eight he faced and walked only one batter. You can see the final out and subsequent celebration here.

It was Moeller’s 32nd no-hitter in program history and second this season.
