The Democratic Party is not the party of the people. ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ As a black woman who has risen to become the first woman Lt. Governor of Virginia, I've faced my fair share of attacks from the liberal media. But there's one lie they love to tell more than any other: That I’m a “Black mouth” for “White supremacist practices.”
But let me tell you, friend, being a Black woman is already hard enough, and being a Black Republican woman is even more challenging. None of what I do is a cakewalk, and just because I decided to become a Republican because I saw through the Left’s lies does not mean I’m any less black, and I will never let their misconceptions define me or what I stand for.
So, let me set the record straight: friend: My husband is black. My children and grandchildren are black. I am black. But to the Left, my skin color means I'm supposed to be a Democrat. When I speak out in support of conservative policies, they question my motives. They just can't wrap their heads around the fact that I dare to think differently!
But, friend, here's the truth: Being black does NOT mean you’re required to be a Democrat. I used to be a Democrat. I believed they were the party of the people. I thought they cared about the struggles of everyday Americans, about the single mother working two jobs to make ends meet, about the small business owner fighting to keep their dream alive. But I was wrong, friend.

I know this because I've lived it. I've seen it from the inside, friend. I ripped the strings of control right out of their hands and told them I was not their puppet, and they’re STILL trying to smear my name since 1988 – nearly FOUR DECADES LATER!
I decided to leave them because I knew that the Republican Party is the only party that truly cares about freedom, prosperity, and giving every American the chance to succeed, no matter their background or circumstances. This is the party that gave my family a chance. That allowed me to get where I am today. If my family were to flee Jamaica and come to our country in this day and age, I don’t know that we would stand a chance because of what the Democrats have done to our great country.
That's why I'm a conservative. And that's why I'm fighting to win this seat and not let my hand-picked, far Left opponent, Abigail Spanberger, win. |
But the liberal media doesn't want you to know the truth. They don't want you to know that conservatives like me are fighting tooth and nail for people like you, friend, and creating opportunities for ALL Americans to succeed.
They'd rather call me names, attack me on MSNBC, and vilify me in the press - all because I decided not to be their puppet! They’ve even called me a 'Black mouth' for 'White supremacist practices.' And do you know what I have to say about that? Let them keep doing it! These attacks only embolden me to keep fighting. And I'm not alone. With supporters like you on my side, I know we can win in November. |
