The state legislature convenes for its annual session today, with lawmakers pledging to take another look at ways to prevent school shootings.

Other topics lawmakers are expected to discuss are disaster relief, tort reform, legalized sports betting, and prisons.

The focus on school safety follows the deadly September shooting at Apalachee High School in Winder that killed two students and two teachers, and injured seven others.

Greater use of school resource officers, metal detectors, and other security measures are among the school safety ideas under consideration.

North Georgians didn't let a couple of inches of snow on Friday stop them from enjoying themselves. Check out these hilarious videos of people using makeshift sleds.

Pets also got in on the fun, with many getting a chance to play in the snow for the first time. The last time metro Atlanta received more than a dusting of snow was January 2018.

Some areas received as much as 5 inches and Atlanta's official total—taken at the airport—came in at 2.1 inches, with other metro neighborhoods getting upward of 3 inches.

The winter fun offered an escape from the worst aspects of the storm: freezing rain and ice, hazardous driving conditions, damaged trees, and power outages to more than 230,000.

The town of Kennesaw is one of very few in the U.S. that requires heads of households to own a gun, an ordinance dating back to the 1980s.

Most citizens say they're happy with the law, and city officials say they have no record of a local homeowner being prosecuted for being unarmed.

The mandate is rare but not unique, as it turns out. Five other U.S. cities have similar laws in place, including Gun Barrel City, Texas, and Virgin, Utah.

A new map of states with the most guns shows Georgia ranks toward the middle of the pack, with 49% of the adult population owning a firearm. Montana and Wyoming lead with 66%.

Making Coal Great Again: Invest in This Untapped $2.1T Energy Opportunity

After centuries of burning coal, most people still haven't caught onto its true value in the markets. Frontieras North America did... and their breakthrough patented technology has unlocked at least 8 new and profitable ways to use coal, for a combined $2.1T market opportunity.

The best part? Their technology is unleashing what people are calling a "Rockefeller Moment" in the energy space—and you still have the chance to become an early investor.

It's similar to when John D. Rockefeller commercialized oil refining technology, but for coal.

Their tech is simple: rather than burning coal and wasting trillions of dollars in resources locked within it, their process extracts those resources for use the global commodities markets:

  • Diesel - $935B market

  • Jet fuel - $391B market

  • Naphtha - $249B market

  • Hydrogen - $242B market

  • Fertilizer - $212B market

  • Metallurgical coal - $147B market

  • And more…

Coal is the most abundant energy resource in the world… and like Rockefeller's oil refining technology, Frontieras' patented technology is set to completely redefine the way the world uses coal. Their technology is patented across 85% of the world's coal markets. If they capture just 2% of the market, they have a roadmap to achieve a $1T valuation.

They'll be building their first $850m facility in West Virginia soon, followed by more facilities across North America.

Become an early shareholder while you still can – don't miss your chance to invest in the "Rockefeller Moment" in the energy space, before Frontieras' share price changes on January 20th.
