Hi Friends, Happy Monday! Since so many of you are new here, I thought I'd take a moment to pop in and say hello. And for those of you who have been following for a while (thank you! and hi!), let's catch up! What I've Been Up to Lately These days, my life is basically divided into two categories: - Food (and everything I work on for Love & Lemons)
- My family...specifically, keeping up with a 3-year-old
So, I thought I'd share a bit about both: 1. Food - Lately, I've been having the MOST fun testing recipes with Phoebe for a project that doesn't have a name yet. I can't wait to share more, but rest assured, we have some really exciting things coming your way...like the spicy marinated turmeric tofu banh mi pictured below.
- I'm obsessed with this red lentil soup, which has become an instant fan favorite. It's the kind of creamy, cozy, flavorful, freezer-friendly comfort food I can't get enough of in cold January. It's also our Cooking Club pick of the month, so go make it before January is over—we're giving away a $100 Whole Foods gift card!
- I made this focaccia for Christmas dinner. If you're looking for a fun baking project on a chilly day, try this one out!
2. Family (& Home) - Spices! All lined up (pictured below). My sister-in-law Jessie flew in during an especially hard time a few months ago and helped me organize. Turns out, there's nothing like a tidy drawer to mend a broken heart.
- Many years ago, when I didn't think we would have kids, I had NO IDEA that Christmas morning with a 3-year-old would be the best. thing. ever! Seeing the joy on Ollie's face was just the sweetest thing. (See Ollie and me, pictured below.)
- Our dog Annie, being Annie.
One More Cooking Club Reminder... Our Love & Lemons Cooking Club is fun and free to join. Just make that red lentil soup before the end of the month for the chance to win a $100 Whole Foods Gift Card! For every entry received, we also donate $1 to No Kid Hungry. Thanks for reading and happy cooking! xoxo, Jeanine |
