Firefighter Rescues Dog While Battling Eaton Fire

Firefighter Slater Lee’s tender rescue of a scared dog named Max during the raging Eaton Fire in Altadena, California, captured hearts across the internet. Watch the video here.

As flames engulfed Max’s home, the 60-pound dog barked fearfully from the front yard. Lee, battling the fire with one hand, put the other out toward Max. Slowly, the dog came closer.

Lawn Guy Raises $551K for Neighbor

A landscaper from Wichita, Kansas, known as "the Lawn Guy" has raised over $825,000 for an elderly woman named Beth after learning she couldn't afford a $240 city fine for her overgrown lawn.

The Lawn Guy, who goes only by Spencer, runs SB Mowing and regularly provides free lawn care to neighbors in need, stepped in to help Beth after she had spent a month trying unsuccessfully to find someone to maintain her yard.

When his TikTok video of the lawn transformation garnered nearly 100 million views, Spencer launched a GoFundMe page to address Beth's broader needs, including installing a wheelchair ramp, repairing broken windows, and adding a chair lift for her basement.

This gesture moved Beth to tears as she responded, "Those are the things dreams are made of." Watch a video report here.

As millions kicked off their New Year's fitness resolutions, New Zealand mountain biker Ben Hildred has set an extraordinary goal: climbing one million vertical feet in just 100 days.

The feat is equivalent to scaling Mount Everest every 2.85 days for 35 consecutive ascents, and all the while he maintains a full-time job.

Hildred, who previously accomplished the same feat over 200 days and has completed a "Double Everest" climb, began his journey on Jan. 1 and aims to finish by April 10.
