I've sent several emails this week about NOURISHED + STRONG, and I've received a lot of good questions in return.
It's a brand new program and I'm sure you have questions too! I'm compiling all of them here into a FAQ, in case you're too shy to ask.

Q: Does this program tell me what to eat?
A: Not in the traditional sense. I won't tell you to eat acai berries or broccoli or any specific food. But I will teach you HOW to eat, and give you guidelines that help you make food choices that best align with your goals.
I shared my simplified version of my How To Build a Plate lesson yesterday, which is one of many lessons I have on nutrition and feeding yourself well. Be sure to read that email if you missed it!

Q: What made you start nutrition coaching?
A: First and foremost, I was tired of "dieting" and never seeing results, and I wanted to set a better example for my daughter. I learned the science behind changing your body shape and when I shared this journey with you guys, SO MANY of you felt the same way I did.
Also, many of you have been with me since we lived in California. You've watched my kids and myself evolve these past 13 years, and you've evolved with me.
I'm always learning and sharing what I've learned if I think it will benefit you. Part of NOURISHED + STRONG includes the vital role nutrition plays in perimenopause and menopause (and how it 100% affects the "menopause belly") and how it contributes to the female hormones, energy levels, and physique. If I can change the shape of my body with food (eating MORE in fact!), then you can too!
Q: What's the difference between this group and your 1:1 coaching?
A: NOURISHED + STRONG offers personalized feedback in a group setting so everyone can learn at the same time, and this makes it a more affordable option. There's a lot of noise in the health and wellness space, and this program cuts through the chatter and focuses on the things that actually matter and make a difference.
Q: When does the program start? How long are the lessons?
A: NOURISHED + STRONG starts January 27 and is 6 weeks long. Each week we cover a new topic that takes about 20-30 minutes to learn.
Q: What if I fall behind?
The program is only 6 weeks long, but you have access for a full year. If you ever need a "nudge" to start again, send us an email and we'll sign you up for a "reset" so the weekly emails start over.
Q: Will I have to eat separate foods than my family? I don't want to cook a bunch of different meals!
A: The short answer is no, you don't have to eat different foods than your family. At the same time, you'll want to eat foods that help you reach your goal, so you may need more protein than someone else.

Q: I am considering joining this program, however, I do not have a Facebook account. Can I do this program without Facebook?
The community is based on Facebook, but the teaching is housed on a private site with your own login credentials. If you think you can learn and go the DIY route, then let's do this! However, your odds of success go up 95% if you have accountability!!
If Facebook is a no-go, 1:1 might be a better fit because we communicate using a different tool.
Q: When does registration close?
A: Registration ends Tuesday, January 21. That's only FOUR days from now!
Every single person gets a custom nutrition and macro plan, so enrollment is a hard cut-off. If you're interested in joining, don't wait until the last minute! (In the past, servers have gotten overloaded with the surge of procrastinators. Some people had to refresh their screens several times and ended up missing the deadline. Don't let that be you!)

PS - NOURISHED + STRONG won't show you how to lose 30 pounds in 30 days. We've been there, done that, and those promises don't work. You will however learn how much protein you need, how to balance fun foods with nourishing foods, and how to celebrate your birthday and go on vacation without constantly worrying about the scale and whether or not you should have dessert. ♥

While I have been researching and implementing ways to help myself for the last 35+ years, and been successful at times, there is just too much out there and that noise can trip me up and stall my progress.
Your calm, reassuring voice is one I have come to greatly appreciate over the last decade. Thank you!
