Hi reader!
As the gloomy weather sets in, I've found the perfect way to keep spirits up — sneak away to a sunny escape! I just returned from a week in Tenerife, where I soaked up the sun, sipped on sangria, and indulged in seafood delights. One of my absolute favorites was papas arrugadas, the famous wrinkly potatoes served with mojo rojo and mojo verde. And the best part? I captured these recipes alongside local chefs 8 years ago, so they're as authentic as it gets. Check them out here: Back home, it feels like a whole new chapter with the recent U.S. presidential election, sparking all kinds of opinions. But in the spirit of harmony, it brings to mind the culinary equivalent of a debate: Marmite. Whether you love or hate it, I have recipes to satisfy both camps. Try the crowd-favorite Marmite Roast Potatoes , or go bold with Marmite Chicken. Fun fact: one of these recipes even got a shout-out in The Guardian last year! Until next week, keep warm and adventurous in the kitchen—there's always room for a little sunshine on your plate or a cozy Marmite kick! Happy cooking! Michelle Minnaar |
