πŸŽ‰ Your weeks would be waaaay easier by doing this!

Hey there reader!

I hope you're having a nice week. So, I was thinking this morning...

What can we do to make our life easier?

Of course, who doesn't want an easy life? But I'm not thinking easy, like sitting on the couch all day watching Bravo; that would be nice, but unfortunately, I have other things I want to do.

πŸ‘‰ I want life to be easier during the week to focus better on goals. Not just weight loss goals but also work goals, family goals, and other things that make their way to the back burner when life is in chaos.

I've proven to myself time and time again that I accomplish much more when I plan and hot zones are under control; I think we all do.

You've seen me write about this before, but I wanted to bring it up again because we can always use reminders.

So, what can you do to make your life easier?

⭐️ The best way to be productive and make life easier and less stressful Monday – Friday is to use Sundays (or Saturdays) to prepare ahead of time. I'm not saying you must spend your entire day preparing for the week. But, I think taking a few hours to get the following week in order makes it much easier to focus on other goals and stick to healthier habits during the week. ⭐️

This is what I recommend.

Review your schedule and time-block the habits you want to focus on. It's so helpful to review my schedule on Sunday for the week. I can't tell you how many doctor's appointments I would've missed if I didn't.

I also schedule blocks of time for exercise, work projects, grocery shopping, meal prep, and other essential things I need to do. I always say, if it's not in my calendar, it doesn't exist.

Create a meal plan. I do this on Thursday or Friday. It doesn't have to be anything fancy, just a simple list of what you'll eat during the week. It's helpful to create a meal plan around your schedule. Also, you can move through this step super quickly by saving and reusing meal plans or having a rotating list of recipes.

Prioritize meal prep. You've heard me say this a million times, but eating healthier is much easier when healthy food is ready to eat. There are many ways to prepare meals ahead; I advise focusing on the meals that'll make the most significant difference if you prep some or all of them beforehand. For example, if you struggle with lunch, then put together some mason jar salads or make a pot of soup for the week. Have a busy night, then make a casserole you can heat and eat. Or plan to have a slow cooker recipe cook while you work. You can also make some shredded chicken or beef on the weekend to use for a quick dinner during the week.

Take meal prep a step further; stock the freezer with meals every few weeks. Again, focus on the meals that would make the most significant difference if prepped. For example, make some freezer burritos, smoothie kits, or freeze oatmeal into portions if you struggle with breakfast. Or, for dinner, put together some freezer chicken marinades or chicken slow cooker freezer kits. Fun fact, this habit was a huge game-changer for me!

Create a to-do list for the week. This doesn't need to be a crazy list; keep it manageable. I start with the top things I need to get done and then add whatever else I have time for.

I can expand on and add a million little things to this list. But my advice is to start small. I know you'll get more done during the week by taking the time to get your week organized.

Throughout my weight loss journey, the biggest lesson I learned is if I wanted good habits to form and, more importantly, stick, I needed to plan for it. That's when I stopped watching Real Housewife marathons and started using the weekends to set myself up for success during the week.

Here's to an easier week! You got this!
