Cake for breakfast is acceptable (and welcomed!) in the form of crumb cake. And if I had to choose only 1 crumb cake recipe to make, it would be this one.
Readers DEFINITELY agree.
In fact, I'm pretty sure this buttery soft crumb cake has a major following in my wonderful Facebook group! π
You can leave off the raspberries and almonds, or use other fruits such as blueberries, strawberries, peeled & chopped apples or peaches. π
And who says you need to limit this to breakfast?
One reader says: "Made this last night for a dinner party and it went down an absolute treat. In fact one of our guests had three portions of it and he said it was one of the best desserts he's ever had! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐"
Another reader says: "My daughter wanted something 'raspberry and almond' for her birthday cake and I made this (she's not into buttercream!). It was a hit! Moist and almondy, with just the right sweetness—so good! And even better, paired with vanilla ice cream. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐"
And another says: "This is without a doubt my favorite cake to bake. At least 10 times now. Looks and tastes wonderful and always a hit. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐"
