Something about having a full weekend before Christmas Day is really helping us get it all done this year. We'll have all of Dan's family and several of mine for dinner tomorrow afternoon, plus lots of other times for cheer and gathering this week. Like many of you, feelings of nostalgia and longing flood our hearts right now, with both losses and joys. Cooking, baking, coming together: these can be a real balm. It's for real to say these can fill our tables, and our hearts, with love...and help us to "fear not."
"And the angel said to them, "Fear not, for behold, I bring good news to you of great joy, which will be to all the people."
Sending you and yours my wishes for abundant blessings, with my heart-felt gratitude to share in all of the seasons of the year with you.
I'll leave you with a few quick baking ideas below, great treats and fun to do during the week ahead with family and friends.
I'll see you back here for recipes and more this week!
Bless your hands,
Soft Cinnamon Rolls.
Yogurt in the enriched dough makes these soft and so flavorful. A manageable recipe that you can refrigerate in the baking pan, ready when you are to bake off.
We love za'atar for breakfast, and all day long!! Here the spice blend is rolled up in a beautiful savory bread. Slice and eat with labneh. Wonderful toasted.
