Revised: STAR Health Medicaid Program Listening Session for Residential Child-Care Providers

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) Medicaid and CHIP Services STAR Health Team is hosting a one-time virtual listening session on Monday, Dec. 11, 2023, from 2-3:30 p.m., for residential child-care providers serving children and youth enrolled in STAR Health.

The purpose of the listening session is for HHSC to receive feedback about services you currently provide, services you would like to provide, and barriers to providing those services. Per S.B. 1896, 87th Legislature, this activity is part of an annual review of STAR Health services requiring HHSC to collaborate with residential child-care providers and provide recommendations to DFPS and SSCCs to better coordinate the provision of healthcare in Texas. Many of your organizations participated in a 2022 survey on this topic, and the listening session is designed to follow up on what we learned from you. Note: Prior survey participation is not a requirement for you to attend this listening session, and we welcome all residential providers.
