Click here Monday, 06 November 2023 MEDIA ADVISORY Virtual Press Conference on the launch of the 2023 Global Tuberculosis Report WHEN: Tuesday, 07 November 2023, 14:30-15:30 CET (Geneva) (embargo lifts on 07 November 2023, 15:30 CET) WHAT: The World Health Organization is releasing the 2023 edition of its Global Tuberculosis (TB) Report on 07 November. The report features data on disease trends and the response to the epidemic from 192 countries and areas. It provides a comprehensive and up-to-date assessment of the TB epidemic, and progress in the response at global, regional and country levels. TB remains one of the top infectious killers in the world. This year’s report presents new data on the recovery made by countries in the TB response, after more than two years of COVID-related disruptions. It also presents the status of progress towards End TB targets and calls for an accelerated response to reach the new targets committed to by world leaders in the political declaration of the second UN High Level Meeting on TB. The latest information on the determinants and drivers of the TB epidemic are showcased, alongside information on progress in the development of new TB diagnostics, drugs and vaccines. Speakers:
