| Hello reader Another Sunday and another glorious sunny day here in the New Forest. I hope you're enjoying the sun too. It's perfect apple collecting weather in fact. I don't know about you, but everywhere I go I'm almost tripping over apples. We don't have an apple tree, but our neighbours have one that hangs over our garden and fills it up with fallen apples. They're not the best, but the birds love them. Luckily for us, lots of kind people in the neighbourhood, leave their apples outside their gates for anyone to take. Do you have similar in your neighbourhood? Of course, I've taken a few. I've made that batch of my spiced apple chutney I was talking about last week and also a few jars of apple purée and apple sauce. If you're not sure what the difference is, head over to this week's post Apple sauce or apple purée? Here's how to make them. I love a few jars of apple purée in the fridge. They last quite well and I've never had any spoilage. With the colder weather coming on, porridge is calling and I do like a large dollop of apple purée to go with it. I use it for lots of other things too, but that's my favourite. Incidentally, our trip to Weymouth last week turned out splendidly. We got caught up in the Ironman triathlon, which was rather fun to watch, we found a cycle shop with a cafe and had buddah bowls for lunch and then had a lovely walk along the cliffs. This week, something's come up and we're having to dash down to Cornwall for a couple of days next week. This means I need to knuckle down today and get next week's post written up and scheduled as I won't be here when it normally goes out. You can tell things are cooling down as popular recipes this week include: Please do let me know if you make any of my recipes and don't forget to star rate them. It really helps to make them more visible on search engines. I especially appreciate questions or feedback via comments on the blog posts.
Keep cooking and stay safe. Choclette x
