Ever heard of a shrub (not the plant!) ❤️

Hey There!

I want to turn you onto a super simple recipe: Rhubarb Shrub

Not the plant, but the drink.

Before high-fructose corn syrup and 2-liter bottles of soda, there were shrubs. A type of sour-sweet drinking vinegar made to support digestion and quench the thirst - especially in hot weather.

And you'll love them.

Here's why you should give it a try:
  • Shrubs taste delicious with a sweet-tart edge.  Stir a little bit into sparkling mineral water (or a bottle of homemade kombucha) for a pleasant, easy drink.
  • Rhubarb is good for you. That vivid red color means loads of antioxidants.
  • It's easy to make. You chop up rhubarb, pour in the vinegar, wait a few days, strain, and mix with a sweetener. Easy.
Hope you try it!

P.S. I recommend picking up raw, living vinegar to make shrubs.  I buy from Acid League.
