Hi reader,
We spent the last 9 weeks of 2021 visiting a couple beach towns in Florida, and knowing that Florida is home to Publix (which isn't very affordable, in my opinion), I was a bit worried about making groceries affordable.
Lo and behold, both cities had a Walmart AND and ALDI!!!
I spent some time toggling back and forth between the two stores, because most people have strong opinions on whether Walmart is cheaper than ALDI, or that ALDI is cheaper than Walmart.
So I went into both stores with a list and came out with photographic evidence! Here's what I found that was cheaper at ALDI:
- Shredded cheese
- Butter
- Organic peanut butter
- Rolled oats
- Canned pumpkin
- Uncured bacon
- Organic chicken breasts
- Organic ketchup
- Fuji apples
- Mushrooms
- Carrots
- Colored bell peppers
| | | | Obviously I couldn't check the entire store, but if I intentionally shopped for these things at ALDI instead of Walmart, I'd save $7.37 on this one trip. Multiply this times a weekly trip for one year and you'd save $383.24!
If you want to learn more about the price differences between Walmart and ALDI, check out this article. There's several more foods included in the list!
ALL my best ♥,
PS - If you're wondering what was a better deal at Walmart, that list is coming later this week!
