Weekly Meal Plan & Exercise Routine (November 22nd, 2021)

organize yourself skinny

Hey there!

It's Thanksgiving week -my favorite week of the year! It's a busy one, but crazily, I find it relaxing.

We host Thanksgiving, and I love spending time in the kitchen preparing food while I listen to music and sips drinks with my hubby. I also love that Thanksgiving is all about food, family, and friends without the pressure of gifts and spending tons of money. Everyone brings a dish and let's watch some football! It's a great time.

We also have a big party on Saturday for an annual parade my town does. It's so much fun and one of my favorite parties to throw all year. Again, everyone brings a dish and let's party.

Even though we're hosting two parties this week, I still put together a weekly meal plan because I don't want to depend on leftovers and party food all week. Plus, we need to eat on the days leading up to Thanksgiving.

So, the theme of this week's meal plan is consistent and easy - meaning that I'm planning on sticking to my typical meal plan mostly for breakfast and lunch and will keep dinners easy with food I have in the freezer.

This week - especially on Friday -it's essential to have a daily smoothie. I don't want to feel sluggish and bloated from all of the extra food and drinks.

I'm also going to make mason jar salads for the week because it's essential to stay on routine.

Here's my weekly meal plan.

triple berry smoothie

Breakfast

Triple Berry Smoothie

Meal prep tips

  • I purchased all of the smoothie ingredients this weekend and will make one every morning. This recipe doesn't call for spinach, but I'm adding it for extra roughage. I bought a big bag and froze it into a freezer bag, so I don't need to worry about spoiling.

Lunch

Protein Power Salad

Meal prep tips

  • I made four salads yesterday. Usually, I make 5, but I might not have the opportunity to eat them, so I made less.

Snacks

Homemade Almond Butter Granola Yogurt Parfaits

Meal prep tips

  • I made a triple batch of granola a couple of weeks ago and still have a large mason jar full.

italian stuffed peppers

Dinner

Italian Stuffed Peppers

Guinness Beef Stew

Zuppa Toscana

Meal prep tips

  • These recipes are in the freezer, so I need to heat them on the nights we eat them.

Exercise Schedule

I need to keep up with exercise this week. Last week, I did great. I got in 5 days and even a few extra walks. I'm finally starting to feel back into a routine.

This week my goal is to exercise 5 times again, and I even want to get in a good workout on Thanksgiving.

Here's the exercise routine I'll follow:

  • Monday - Cardio and entire toning routine (arms, legs, and core).
  • Tuesday – Cardio, arms, and core.
  • Wednesday – Off
  • Thursday - Cardio, arms, and core.
  • Friday - off
  • Saturday - Cardio, legs, and core.
  • Sunday - Cardio, arms, and core.

I do 45 minutes on the treadmill for cardio, a combination of running and power-walking at inclines.

I do toning moves like bicep curls, tricep extensions, squats, lounges, and exercise moves like that for toning. I use 5 – 8lb weights.

I follow the exercise routines that I put together for the OYS eBook Bundle.

Weekly habits

This week I'm focusing on staying on routine. It's easy to fall off track during the holidays, so my goal is to remain intentional. I'll have a nice Thanksgiving and enjoy all of the tasty foods and treats, but the rest of the week, I'll stay on track with my routines.

  • No eating past 6:00 pm.
  • Waking up at 5:30 am and start my exercise routine by 6:00 am.
  • Daily smoothie and 64 ounces of water.

Okay, that's my weekly meal plan, exercise routine, and habits.

I want these to be helpful, so please let me know if I can expand or add anything else.

Have a great week!

Talk to you soon.
