FDA Releases Quiz About Prescription Drug Promotion and the Bad Ad Program

Today, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's Bad Ad Program released the Bad Ad quiz to test your knowledge about prescription drug promotion and the FDA's Bad Ad Program. The Bad Ad Program helps to ensure that information from prescription drug promotion that health care providers may use to inform their assessment of the risks and benefits of a drug is truthful, balanced, and not misleading.

Among other requirements, promotion for prescription drugs must present a fair balance of risk and benefit information, otherwise it may be false or misleading. The FDA's Bad Ad Program works to raise awareness among health care providers about recognizing potentially false or misleading prescription drug promotion while also providing them with an easy way to report it to the FDA. Test your knowledge about prescription drug promotion and the Bad Ad Program by taking the quiz now.

For more information about the Bad Ad Program, free Bad Ad continuing education (CE) course, and real-life case studies, please visit the Bad Ad Program webpage. To report potentially false or misleading prescription drug promotion please contact us at 855-RX-BADAD or BadAd@fda.gov.
